Reading Dr Chen’s book Refresh … is like encroaching upon someone’s private garden. You feel as if you are walking in the sacred chamber of a person’s inner life. This is a great privilege. I immediately bonded with him like one of his closest friends, privileged enough to be invited to look deeply into his life. Thanks, Dr Chen, for your openness and generosity.

I like the poems as well as the short introduction in each poem. He openly shares his inner struggles, challenges and problems and how a very Personal inner force in him has propelled him forward, turning adversities into opportunities.

Being a very generous man, he wants to share these life-transforming truths that have radically transformed his life, knowing he is deeply loved, greatly blessed and highly favoured by the most important Person in the entire universe.

Reading the poems really warmed my heart and encouraged me profoundly, knowingly that every Sunday, I am not speaking to blank walls but to real people with hurts and pains. What a privilege of be partners with them in the greatest of all miracles – inner transformation - and to become what we are destined to be!
